Overview
CREAP Africa Initiative — Community Rights Education Advancement Pathway — is a Nigerian nonprofit registered in 2024, working across peacebuilding and democratic governance, climate change and environmental sustainability, and youth empowerment and inclusive development. Its work spans seven distinct programs, from a grassroots peacebuilding fellowship to a civic-tech suite tracking political promises, and the brief was to make that whole portfolio legible — to a funder deciding whether to wire a donation, and to a community member deciding whether to volunteer — without either audience feeling like an afterthought.
The challenge
Nonprofit sites carry a structural tension: they need to read as a serious, auditable institution to funders and government partners, while still feeling warm and human to the communities they actually serve. CREAP's seven program areas, policy briefs, press statements, annual and financial reports, and an open leadership-application pipeline all needed somewhere to live — plus a donation flow that could take Nigerian naira by card or bank transfer without friction, and a newsletter the comms team could run without touching code.
The outcome
CREAP now runs its entire public presence — programs, publications, donations, leadership, open roles — from one site, with a 19-module dashboard behind it handling everything from Paystack donation webhooks to a bulk email builder. Funders get the institutional depth they're looking for (48,700+ people reached, 27 programs, 22 publications, real partner logos), while community members still land on a page that opens with people, not paperwork.
What the site does
Feature by feature
Seven program areas, three thematic pillars
Community Peace Champions Fellowship, Youth Climate Adaptation, Greening the Future, the Youth Skill Development Fund, CivicCREAP-Tech (home to Climate Accountability Watch and Promise Tracker), Oral Health in Schools, and a Climate-Smart Agriculture program — each with its own detail page, grouped under peacebuilding, climate, and youth development.
Paystack-powered donations
Preset or custom naira amounts, card payment via Paystack with webhook-confirmed receipts, plus a bank-transfer fallback (NGN and USD accounts) for donors who prefer it.
Publication & knowledge hub
Policy briefs, toolkits and guides, press statements, and annual/financial/project reports are all downloadable, dashboard-published PDFs — a real institutional paper trail for funders and researchers.
Get Involved pipeline
Volunteer, partner and advocate pathways sit alongside filterable open roles — fellowships, internships, State Coordinator positions — each with its own apply flow that lands straight in the dashboard.
Leadership directory
Board of Trustees and Management Team are presented in separate, dashboard-managed tabs, so a new trustee or program lead can be added without a developer touching the page.
Newsletter & blog
The 'Community Pulse' newsletter and a full blog give CREAP a standing channel to its subscriber base, independent of social media reach.

The staff dashboard
19 operational modules
Submissions inbox, donations, messaging, homepage slides, get-involved postings, policy briefs, toolkits, press statements, reports, blogs, upcoming programs, gallery and leadership — one login covers the entire organisation's content and data.
Donation & email infrastructure
Paystack webhook confirmation posts donations automatically, and a built-in email builder sends bulk campaigns to segmented subscriber lists via Resend — no separate donation platform or mailing tool subscription.
Row-level secured submissions
Contact messages, newsletter sign-ups, and opportunity applications all land in one inbox, protected by Supabase row-level security so only authenticated staff can read them.
