Questions

Which is cheaper in Nigeria, Paystack or Flutterwave?

It depends on the amount. Paystack's ₦100 flat fee is waived under ₦2,500 and its fees are capped at ₦2,000, so it is usually cheaper for very small and very large payments. Flutterwave's flat 2% can be slightly cheaper for mid-sized payments between roughly ₦5,000 and ₦20,000.

Is VAT included?

This calculator shows fees before VAT so the two can be compared fairly. In Nigeria, 7.5% VAT applies to processing fees; Flutterwave lists it separately on its pricing page.

Can the customer pay the fee instead of me?

Yes. Most checkouts — including church giving and NGO donation pages we build — can add an optional ‘cover the processing fee’ checkbox so you receive the full amount.
